The building design must evolve
from the activities within which in turn are driven by the outcomes
required. Too often club design is led by pre-conceived ideas such
as we must have a sports hall. Design should be the interaction of
our desired outcomes, consultation with young people and their needs
and the site or building and its limitations.

We can reconnect kids and society with a simple
balcony and glazing.

Social areas need to be central with views
of surrounding activities.

How often do we see buildings identifiable as youth
clubs? Compare this with the number of clubs and pubs for adults,
you see in every town centre.
